"Rollin With My Homies"

My little tribute to Brittany Murphy.

I've always liked her. She always seemed so sweet, happy and excited about life. And say what you want about her, she spent alot of time over in Kuwait entertaining the troops and that makes her A-OK in my book. Plus she made fun of Ashton Kutcher's penis on David Letterman and that was fun-ny. I learned what "sporadic" meant right along with her. And she taught us ten different ways you can wear a shirt!
Rest in Peace!

Happy December!

I will post pictures of "Christmas at Chateau Wootan" soon. We tend to go a little overboard, so after spending several days decorating..... we still have a few more ahead of us. One thing's for sure, you walk into our house and you know it's Christmas!

Every year my family has a gift exchange a few days before Christmas. I like to give a good gift along with a FABULOUS one. Ok most people would call it a gag gift. Last year along with a movie gift card was a framed 8x10 of this........

Everyone kept taking our gift "claiming" they wanted the gift card. But we all know that it was this gem of a photo they were really after.

Anyway Happy December everyone!!!!

My Name is Shasta and I'm a Blogaholic

So having admitted that (isn't it the first step?) I have created yet another blog. Yes this will be my fifth. Janae, Katie and I have decided to start "Friday Craftday". (Jennifer you are not allowed to make fun of me) We will be getting together Friday mornings probably around 11:00 to work on projects/crafts. Anyone that would like to join us is welcome.

We will be making preplanned projects and or anything of our own we want to work on. It's always nice to have other opinions when making something. At least I like/need advice sometimes. :)

Ok so back to the title of my blog. I'll be posting upcoming projects and finished projects on the new blog. If you would like to know where and when we're meeting each week and what we're doing you can check in at decorday.blogspot.com. It's always fun to get together and have company when getting stuff done so come one come all!

I realize alot of you work Fridays so if you would like to come over on a Saturday or weeknight and make something, that would be just super-fantastic. Let me know.

We will always be looking for new ideas so if you have something you would like to make and share with us just let me know!

Oh I almost forgot the most important part!! These will be CHEAP crafts. If I wanted to spend a lot of money I would save myself the tears, stress and profanity and just go buy it! :)

Ok so as usual LOVES TO ALL! Have a fabulous week!

Procrastinating, Parties, A Play and Projects

Procrastinating
Last week I worked Monday and Tuesday then I was home free for FIVE fabulous days. Man did I have plans! I just couldn't wait to have all day to work on our house. Well I did NOTHING. Not one thing. But boy was it relaxing! And since I don't have another five days off in a row until next week.... I'm glad I made the most of it. :)

Parties
Thursday night we had GNO (for any male readers that's Girls Night Out) I didn't take any pictures even though I made sure I had my camera with me. It was a ton of fun. Thanks Andrea for having us all over..... and letting us stay SO late when you were needing to get yourself into bed. It was fun seeing everyone. Everyone +1!!!
There were 8 of us there.... five of which are preggers. Congrats to all of you!

Saturday night wasn't really a party, it was date night with Jenn, Cosmo, Cheryl and Travis. We went to the Sugar Bowl for dinner, then to Jesterz. SO MUCH FUN. We did take some pics, but I don't like any of the ones I took so I'll post some of Jenn's when I get them. Thanks guys for a fun night! Next time we simply must go to Nello's. I've been craving it.

A Play
My sis Ciera was in her school play Friday night. "Because Their Hearts Were Pure" she did a fantastic job! The play was really cute and quite enjoyable. Then we headed to Nielsen's....... So.Dang.Good. We wish the whole family could have been there. Sorry that Daisy and J-Red were sick! We missed you guys and Laci and Andrea and Ty Heather and the Boys. Don't worry there are many more plays to come. :)

Projects
I got a few more projects done. I only have pics of a couple of them, but here they are!
This door I found at Goodwill a few weeks ago. Stinking cute for $1.00 right? Well I painted it, shabbied it up a bit and added this fabulous nob. LOVE IT.

This cute little table/nightstand/whatever was red with a chess board painted on the top when I bought it. I painted it black but decided I didn't LOVE IT. So Blue it became. Once again I did some shabby-ing up and added a nob to cutsie it up a bit.... and now I LOVE IT! It looks absolutely fab in my guest room. LOVE IT!

This sign "Whoever Said Money Can't Buy Happiness Didn't Know Where To Shop" I found at Ross. Who could say no for $3.00??? I didn't get a before pic, it was just plain with a wire at the top to hang it. So just imagine. You can't tell in the photo but it's a diamond bracelet hanging across. This is going in my closet. Yes I'm decorating my closet.

Saturday morning I went to an amazing boutique. I met my girlfriend Jen there. She has started a charity named "Kamber's Kaskets" She and her husband Ethan are making children's Caskets and donating them to families that loose there sweet little children. It's such an amazing idea and so so amazing of them to make something good out of loosing sweet Kamber. I will be putting a link on my blog soon, then anyone can donate to the charity.

Well that's it for last week. This week is twice as busy with TONS of fun, fun stuff going on. So lucky for all of you I'll probably be posting again next weekend. :)
Loves to all!

Jennifer

Everyone meet Jenn....

Ok so most of you probably know her.
These are the reasons I love her. (in no particular order)
#1 Because she's been my friend forever.
#2 Because when I'm with her I laugh uncontrollably.
#3 Because tonight she spent 20 minutes going through my purse,
putting on my jewelry, eating my candy and trying out my lip gloss.
Why would I ever have kids? I already have a five year old daughter.
#4 Because when I called her accidentally at 5am this morning she was still happy to see me tonight.
Editors note* She saw that I was calling, said to herself "i hate you" and then fell back asleep. You would think that if someone called you that early you would answer just to make sure they were ok.
Lesson learned* If I am ever being kidnapped or attacked I WILL NOT be calling Jenn for help.
#5 Because one night in her sleep she made out with my hand, until my screaming woke her up.
Editor's note* Yes people she was LITERALLY making out with my hand. It was dark and I couldn't tell what she was doing until I felt her tongue on my skin. Yes people you read that correctly. She was dreaming that she was making out with a boy. (so she says. I do have really sexy hands)
#6 Because she will forgive me for telling you all that story.

Thank you to Cheryl for having a Scentsy Party that made it possible for us to get together tonight. Cheryl is another girl that I love.... the more time I spend with her the more I love her. (she's totally going to pass Jenn up soon)

Thanks girls for being so fabulous.

Halloween

This year Tanner and I were going to go as Kanye West and Taylor Swift. But even though I had decorated our entire house in spider webs. Had pumpkin and skull shaped ice cubes in the freezer. Bloody hands on the window and tons of other Halloween decorations...... I wasn't feeling the spirit this year. So we didn't dress up. Instead we had my sisters and nephews over for Halloween's Eve and we decorated cookies.

Then we watched "Garfield's Halloween Adventure". I have clear memories of watching it when I was younger. After we went Trick or Treating we would come home, lay on the floor with our candy and watch. The rest of my family thinks I'm crazy because none of them remember it at all. We all sat down and watched. So great.

On Halloween my parents brought my sisters over and we went Trick or Treating around our neighborhood. Tanner and my dad stayed back to watch game 3 of the World Series. The girls got a ton of candy and once we had gone as far a we wanted, we called my dad and he came and picked us up. (yes we didn't want to walk back)

Then Tanner and I headed to Chilli's. Delicious.
This morning I took down ALL the decorations and put up the Thanksgiving ones. Done with one, on to the next! I hope everyone had a fabulous Halloween! Loves to all.

Good Will towards Me.

So last night I took some of Tanner's clothes to Good Will. I decided to walk around a bit and I found this for $2.99.....

I brought it home, got out my brown paint and a make up sponge. Ten minutes later....... Ta-Da!!!!

I love cheap and easy projects.... and I love them more when they turn out FABULOUS! I bought a few more things that I'm way excited about. I haven't done anything with them but will post pics as soon as I do. Loves to all!

Cali Trip

We drove to Cali Tuesday afternoon. We met Tanner's parents and his sister Melayne at Original Pizza. It's tradition when we go to Cali to drive strait there and eat. It was amazing as usual. I already miss it.

Wednesday was Tanner's birthday. For dinner we went to an Italian restaurant (I can't remember the name) It was so good. Tanner and his dad were going to go golfing, but because it was raining they had to postpone till Saturday.

Thursday we headed to Disney Land! Bert got us reservations at the 33 Club. It was amazing. You might not be familiar with it. Some say it is a "secret club" and it kind of is. The story goes like this. "There were 33 original investors in Disney Land. They had a private place that they would meet to talk business and eat. It was only for them and their families. That's still how it is, but now you can buy a membership into it. Only the waiting list is currently 14 years!!" My father in law's boss is an investor, so he is able to go there. Bert "my father in law" thought it would be fun to go there for Tanner's birthday. And oh it was! Five course amazing dinner. Beautiful old antiques. It was fantastic. Thank you Bert! When dinner was over the waiter handed me, Marla (my mother in law) and Melayne (sister in law) each a velvet bag. We opened them and inside was a charm bracelet with the number 33. We LOVE them. It was such an amazing night. We rode some rides after dinner, Space mountain was all "Halloweened" out. So much fun. Thanks again Bert and Marla for such a fun time!

Friday we went to the Dodgers game. We got there in time to see the fifth inning. We were a little late but the score was 0-1 so we didn't miss much. Then in the 8th the Dodgers tied it up then scored one more to win the game. It was a fun game to watch. We stayed till the end, then stayed in our seats hoping that the traffic would clear up. Then we sat out by our car.... hoping that the traffic would clear up. Then we drove through the traffic hoping it would clear up. We finally made it home and finished the night off with some Original Pizza. Fabulous.

On Saturday I went with Jennifer and her family (the Whimpeys)to Disney Land while Tanner and his dad headed off to the golf course. I love, love, love Jenn's grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins...... Ok I love the whole family. Well I met up with them and we had a really fun time. I only took a couple picture. I knew I'd be sad that I didn't take more and I really am. I'll just have to make a trip to Utah to see everyone again soon.

We had such a fun time! It was long over due, we needed a good vaca! Now we're back home and back to work. I missed my house so I am happy to be back. Have I mentioned how much I love my house? Well I do. And the guy that lives in it. :) Loves to all!
