How Much Do I Love Craigslist!!!

These are the newest additions to our family.... Our fabulous leather sectional and recliner! We got them both for $750. I love love love them! Dan and Leah helped us move them, seeing how we needed two trucks. When they were all moved in I said "thanks Dan! We'll see you back here in a month when we move them out!" They are going to look so amazing in our new house, I'm so excited to get them over there. They moved our closing date to June 12th....... So now I have even more time to do nothing. Oh well what can you do? I hope everyone has a splendid week!

Miss USA

Ok here I go. I tuned in to watch the Miss USA pageant Sunday night. It was enjoyable. One thing that crossed my mind was " why don't they have any credible judges?" I thought this was supposed to be a legitimate pageant. Holly Madison? Maybe, she does editing for playboy so I guess she has some experience in bodies and personality. Maybe. Then there was the guy, I can't remember his name...... he's on SNL and does Bill Cosby on Celebrity Jeopardy. He's fine I just don't see why he should be a judge. Oh wait then there was freaking Perez Hilton...... why someone hasn't taken him out yet it beyond me. Well I'm sure most of you have heard by now or maybe watched yourself, Miss California was asked a question about gay marriage. Don't forget the question was asked by Hilton the openly gay freak show. Well at the very end of her answer she said "I believe that marriage is between a man and women, no offence to anyone." I turned to Tanner and said "WOW, she just lost the crown but she has got some serious balls! Good for her." She was first runner up.

Well here we are now..... it has become this huge controversy. WHY???? She gave her opinion! Just because it wasn't the answer they wanted to hear they're saying it's controversial. Hilton said later that if she had won he would have gone up on the stage and ripped the crown off her head. Wow what a great impartial judge he is. Way to go Trump you know how to pick them. Don't ask the question if you don't want to hear the answer. I'm sure they only asked the question because they thought the answer would be different and were wanting to push their agenda.. Sorry losers this isn't the Oscars!

Now I have to say...... and I'm sure this will not be well received. I voted to ban gay marriage in November. But it was something I was torn on, and if I had to do it again I just might vote different. I'm just very very pro choice on EVERYTHING accept of course abortion. But to me that's a life not a choice so it shouldn't count as one. I think we should have the right to chose how we live our life. And I'm so sorry but I know several strait people that have such little respect for their marriages and the institute of marriage that I would rather see committed, loving, respectful gay couples be given the right over these strait people. So it's just a very difficult topic for me.

Now that being said, Miss California was right on! That is how she felt and she said it perfectly. I stand and applaud her. I love that even thought it might not be the best..... she's getting way more attention than she would have if she had just been runner up. Screw you Perez Hilton you are a terrible person and you give the gay community a bad name. Learn to respect others opinions. I respect your choice to live your life they way you want, you should learn to do the same.

Our country isn't ready for gays to marry and that is fine! everyone is entitled to their opinion and right now the opinion of more than half of this country is No on prop 8. If you don't like it please please please feel free to pack up and leave!
I'm so sick of Hollywood forcing their opinions down our throats and using television as a microphone. Then the one time that someone does the same thing it's controversy. I can't wait for California and New York to fall off into the ocean. (after my in-laws are back here safe and sound of course)

I have to live with an illegal douche-bag for president so they can live with this.

Lucy Angel

Some of you might remember my friend Emily. Well she moved to Nashville a few years ago with her mom and sister and started a band called Lucy Angel. They're absolutly amazing! Earlier this year they had the oportunity to go to China and perform. Chairman Wong loves country and is trying to bring it to China. Well this week in the magazine "Country Weekly" they did an article on Lucy Angel. This is the third time they've been in the magazine. Anyway if you get a chance you should check it out. They sell them at most grocery stores. Here are some pics of them. I don't have any from the article though.

Ok well I guess I'm retarded, I've been trying to post this video but can't figure out how. Tomorrow I'll have Tanner do it for me.

Anyway my mom sent me this email, this has to be the best thing I've ever seen. Just go to Youtube and type in Susan Boyle. Amazing.

Our First House

Tanner and I have been house hunting for about a month now. We've found several that we've liked and a couple that we loved. Well each house we saw and wanted to put an offer on we would get the same reply..... "there are several people bidding on it" or "they're already working with someone." I was getting so annoyed! Now it didn't help that every house we looked at I liked, all I saw was potential and couldn't wait to start fixing it up just the way I wanted. I know that sometimes you have to look at a ton of houses before you get one, but I didn't want to. I wanted to find a house, like it and buy it. This is why I don't like EBay. If I want it, I want it and I should get it. So last Monday we set out to look at three houses we had interest in. We get to the first one and Billy (our realtor) says "well one of the ones we were going to look at excepted someones offer this morning." (What a shock) In we walked, the first house I liked, kind of small but nice. I wasn't too excited about it though, I'm not sure if it was because I just didn't like it, or because I didn't want to get my hopes up. On our way to the next house Tanner said "well it didn't have the open kitchen and family room that we wanted." I said "ya but it had a really nice master bathroom, and the last house we loved had a tiny master bath but the open family room kitchen." We sat in silence for a few seconds, then I said "We're never going to find a house that has everything we want. Every house we've seen has had some good and some bad. Someday we'll build our dream house that has it all but for now we just need a good house we can afford. Besides this is our FIRST house, we can't expect it to be perfect." We arrived at the second and last house we would be walking through that day. We went inside and started walking around. I turned to Tanner and Billy and said " Hi I live here" I looked at Tanner and said "oh my gosh I love it!" We went upstairs and loved it more, I walked out of the master bedroom without a word and just looked at Tanner..... "We're getting this house, I don't care what we have to do. Go look at the closet." It is HUGE! Huge huge huge. (Too bad Tanner will still be using one of the spare bedroom closets) We put an offer in that night and the bank countered back Tuesday afternoon. We countered back and didn't hear back from them until Thursday. I was sick all day, I was sure someone else put in a higher offer. Then on our way home on Thursday Billy called. Tanner talked to him for a few minutes, then Tanner said "Alright tell them we're in" I literally started screaming in the car. My heart hasn't slowed down yet. I'm so excited!!!! We close May 27th and I'm counting the days. We won't be moving in until July because we're redoing all the floors and painting all the walls. But I can't wait to start all of that. The house is already decorated in my head, I know what color every wall will be and where everything we have is going to go. Even down to the littlest thing. When the house is done I'll post before and after pics, but for now I'm just posting the picture of the front. The carpet is really bad and I don't want anyone to see it until they can see how nice we're going to make it. I never thought we would get a house that we love so much. I'm going to try to keep myself busy until we can start work on it, just to help the time pass by. So I'm busting out the old sewing machine..... curtains, pillows and a duvet cover for the guest room. I'm even excited to start those! Well love to all!

Early Easter?

My sister-in-law Candi is an animal lover, she has been trying to convince her hubby BJ to get a rabbit since I've known them. Well last week her wish came true. They are now the proud owners of two little bunnies. Tanner and I went over to see the newest additions to the family yesterday. They are so cute, we held them and chased them all around the back yard. I don't think they enjoyed being chased though. Anyway they're very sweet and we're glad they have them because Tanner and I are not animal people, and now we can just go over and enjoy them at their house! Here are a few pics. They said they are both boys..... sh-sh-sh don't tell BJ and Candi but I'm hoping that one is a girl...... I love newborn bunnies when they're tiny little puff balls hopping around. Oh and also I would just love to see Bj freak when he has ten rabbits! Ha ha!

I Love St. Patrick's Day!

St. Patrick's Day is one of my favorite holidays!! I've even put an irish song that I really like on my playlist in honor of today. When I was little I would pretend I lived in Ireland..... Well I would pretend that I lived on the Ponderosa married to Little Joe. (for those of you that don't know, I was obsessed with the tv show Bonanza) But we had a summer house in Ireland that we would visit quite often. I would literally pack my suitcase and pretend that Joe and I were heading off, then I would ride my bike (my horse) and imagine that I was riding over the amazing green hills.

I know what you're thinking I must have been a lonely child with no friends..... But hey! I had lots of friends. I just really like Little Joe. (notice I didn't say liked, I'm still crazy about him.)

Ok back to the point of my post. I love St. Patrick's Day (even more since PS I Love You came out.) I go all out in my classroom, the Leprechaun comes and turns the kids water green, he leaves gold glitter and glittery green shamrocks everywhere. He leaves his footprints on the desks and white board and of course a treasure hunt that leads to a pot of chocolate gold coins.
That is one reason I look forward to having kids, it'll be a long time before I have them and they can appreciate the holiday but it will be so much fun having the Leprechaun come to our house.

I spent the day with Heather and the boys, Lucky Charms for breakfast then we were off in our green attire to this really cute little train park in Scottsdale. We had fun hanging out while the boys played and ate ice cream. It was a really fun day, thanks Heather for letting me join you guys!

Mother Worriors

I'm very hesitant to post this blog..... But here it goes. I DO NOT share my beliefs very often. If someone asks I will, but even then I usually hold back. Only because I don't ever want it to come across that I'm judging what someone else chooses to do. In all honesty I really don't give two craps how other people live their lives. BUT I've been so moved by this book that I felt I should share it. I had it at my desk during my Parent Teacher Conferences this week and was so surprised at how many of my student's moms had read the book and absolutely loved it. Not one of them has an autistic child, but they still loved it. It's about families that have "recovered" their children from Autism. Amazing book, these moms and some dads were told there was no hope for their children, nothing they could do. But they dedicated their lives to helping them. And they have! It's infuriating in some aspects, because the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) won't even acknowledge it. Doctors lie to these parents and lie about everything but these amazing parents wouldn't listen, they did their own research and saved their children's lives. The saddest part for me is that once these kids are recovered they actually remember not being able to talk! It's like they were trapped in a shell, their minds were working but their little bodies wouldn't listen. It's a book about hope and love, the controversial side of it is that none of these children had any problems until they were vaccinated. The purpose of the book is to try to get the AAP to "Clean our Vaccines" Mercury is poison and it is acknowledged that a toxic does for a baby is 20 micrograms and the amount they are given on their first day of life is 250 micrograms. It is insane that they think every child will react the same way. They don't! Jenny McCarthy wrote it,(and I love her) it's filled with story after story written by parents that have been to hell and back with their kids. It makes me laugh that people are more willing to listen to their doctors (the ones that are making money off all of this) instead of listening to MOTHERS! Mothers that are living it, mothers that have all the proof they need right there in their arms. The book has made me realize that I want to be just like them. KNOW my children and know that I can help them even if I'm told I can't. So please understand that no body knows your kids better then you and if something doesn't seem right it probably isn't! Thanks! Love to you all!

Kamber's Birthday

Happy Birthday Kamber! Tuesday would have been her 3rd birthday. Jen planned a really special party. We all went to the cemetery and met at Kamber's grave. They brought pink and purple balloons and little note cards with pink and purple hearts on them. Everyone wrote a little note to Kamber and tied it to their balloon. Then we sent them all off towards heaven. Jen had a special white balloon that she sent off. After that they had pizza and cake back at their house. It was alot of fun! I thought it would be a sad day, and I'm sure some parts were for Jen and Ethan but it all felt ok somehow. Kamber is happy and I know that.

Sending our balloons to Kamber

Kamber's sweet family. Ethan, Jen, Tayler, Kylie and Brookie

Kamber's grave

I've been thinking about what we could do for Kamber's birthday pretty much since the day she passed away. I had a bunch of different ideas but none of them were working out. I happend to mention some of my ideas to my friend Katie and she said that Brad (her husband) could do something if I wanted. So this is what we did. He printed a picture of Kamber onto a blanket. It turned out so beautiful! He did an amazing job. Thank you Brad!

Happy Birthday sweet Kamber! We hope your first birthday in heaven was amazing. Know that your family and friends still think about you and miss you every day!

Lana Crane Has Arrived!

Janae, James and Jackson welcomed their little sweetheart Lana into their arms yesterday at 12:17 Pm. She is absoulutly beautiful! Long eyelashes and lots of dark hair. She weighed 8.2 and was 20 1/2 inches long. Everything went really well, both Janae and Lana are doing wonderful and will be heading home tomorrow morning. I was able to be there for the birth and I loved it. It was so amazing! She is such a sweetheart. I stayed the night with Janae so James could go home and be with Jackson. Janae and I were talking about how weird it is that she's here. A few hours earlier she was a bump in Janae's stomach. I said it's funny how the day before no one new if Lana was sad, or happy. Or if went to the bathroom or needed food. But now she makes the littlest sound and we're up checking on her. If she frowns she hug her to make her feel better. She is so so so sweet, I've spent a lot of time with her, but I never get tired of just staring at her. I can't wait to get back to the hospital tonight, I miss her already. Congratulations Janae and James! I'm so happy and thankful that I was able to be there and expeirience Lana's entrance to the world!
